"Can't like that."

Mylie is still trying to master the English language and is doing a great job so far. But...instead of saying "I don't like that." She says.."I can't like that."
So, after visiting Kimber today, while we were walking home, Mylie was sad that we had to leave. I tried to to entice her by saying that I thought "daddy might be home."
She responded by saying.."No go home, I can't like your daddy."

Easter Egg hunt @ Mad RIver Hospital

Our Hospital hosted their annual egg hunt. This year they had THE scariest Easter Bunny I have ever seen. I wish I would have gotten a shot of all of the horrified kids. None of them would venture within 10 feet and many were crying hysterically...including Mylie.
But...by the end of the hunt the bunny was her best friend. She "wanted to give the bunny a big hug."

Pure joy after hugging the devil bunny!

She scored...we finally had to cut her off so that other kids could get some.

Eating chocolate eggs is a lot of work!

Easter Time...

We decorated eggs on Thursday before Easter. It was fun and messy. Luckily the dye washed off in the bathtub.

Popcorn play date..

Rex came over to play before their new baby arrived last week. I have never seen two kids more happy about "POPCORN" in my life. It was SO funny!

Movie time...

My friend Gina called and asked if Mylie and I would like to go to the movies with her and her 2 year old Mya. A movie? It had never occurred to me that my crazy child would be ready for a movie. Sure enough...she loved it! I bought Mylie her own popcorn combo that came in a nifty little box with a drink (water) and skittles ( I hid those.) She sat through the entire movie...besides one potty break.
After the movie she cried "More moivieeeeee!!" It was also nap time by that point. Overall...a great experience...although I think I will limit it to once every couple of months...if that.

21 months I think?

I had Mylie hold up a sign like I do (almost) every month...I am off on my months this time. I had to call Deanna to see how old Mylie should be..I think we established that she just turned 21 months yesterday! For some reason I was stuck on 22 months.

I keep losing track of how hold Mylie is...to me she is a 4 year old trapped in a little body. Here goes the brag session: she knows (and has known for a few months now)all of her shapes, colors and can recite the alphabet and numbers 1 through 20 on her own. She speaks in 3 to 4 word sentences and is officially potty trained. My favorite is when I ask her she wants more of something...and she either replies "no dank you momma I'm fine"...or the other "Oh, sure!"(I think she learned Oh, sure from Liz.)It's funny.

Mylie is also a "tad" bit overly emotional about EVERYTHING and what I call an absolute "drama Queen." I can't wait until she is a teenager! Ha ha!

The San Fransisco Zoo...

Mylie and I went to visit my mom in Santa Clara a few weeks ago. We took her to the SFO zoo. She especially loved the train ride and barn yard animals. Unfortunately, the sun was BLARING
...not the best lighting for pictures. I think the goat is trying to lick her fingers. Yuck!

Omi and Mylie.

The lion was just inches away, separated by glass. They were amazing.

Mylie's new favorite animal..the stinky flamingo.

Sunshine...

Mylie was in bed tonight putting herself to sleep. She was singing and talking to her babies for an hour. I could hear her sing a particular song and finally figured out what it was..."you are my sunshine." It went something like this...

"Shunnnnshinnne...shunnnshinne...hoppppp- hopppy...sky gaaaaayyyy...deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaar....low youuuuuu..waaaaay!"

We were cracking up...I need to get it on video!

Christmas Tree..oh Christmas tree

The day after Thanksgiving we went hunting for the "perfect" tree. Mylie talked on her "phone" the entire time saying "ho" (hello)...Selah came with us. It was fun.
